The return of the Champions League seems to be enjoyed by every football fan at least in Europe. The participating clubs are enjoying it just as much. Dutch side Ajax Amsterdam have released a beautiful trailer for their match.
Although Ajax Amsterdam is one of the very famous clubs, it is not one of the world’s top clubs, although it can produce great players and can trouble even the biggest clubs in Europe.
But if there is one thing it can be among the top, it is marketing. Especially this season, the biggest Dutch team is doing really well.
The new jerseys made everyone happy before the season started. The third set in particular was a real hit. Taking inspiration from Bob Marley, whose song Three Little Birds is regarded as the club anthem that fans sing before every game, was a stroke of genius.
Even many people who are not Ajax fans bought the jersey. Or maybe they already are, but they weren’t until then. It’s been written about everywhere, and currently the video featuring the jersey is the 11th most watched on the club’s YouTube channel. In three weeks, it’s racked up over 700,000 views.
But now Ajax are preparing for the Champions League. They will open the new edition in Lisbon at Sporting’s ground there and clearly can’t wait. That’s why the marketing team has decided to get the fans even more excited with a great trailer.
This great teaser is also spreading fast on social media. Just from the comments alone, it’s clear how excited the fans are about this great video. And no wonder. Great work by the marketing team!
