Together, we’ll take a look at two special events related to youth football! The first fantastic news will be Vojtech Stránský’s goal in the Belgium net! The second will be the start of the grandson of a Czech war hero.
Vojtěch Stránský is an 18-year-old talent of Mladá Boleslav, who represents us in the U19 category. In the match against the strong Belgium, our youth played a great result 3:3 and it was Stránský who scored an unusual but great goal.
A centre from the left side and then a technical finesse at the level of an experienced canonist. Well done! The future of Czech football may not be as bad as it may seem at first glance.
Another interesting thing happened in the national team outside the Czech Republic. England’s U21 goalkeeper in their qualifying match against Kosovo was one Josef Bursik, who is the grandson of Czech war hero and later political prisoner, General Josef Bursik.
General Josef Bursik commanded a tank battalion in the war and was one of the first to fight his way into the centre of Kiev. Later he went through the entire Eastern Front to Prague.
After the war he criticized the communist regime and was imprisoned. But then he managed to escape to Bavaria and then to England in 1955. Now his grandson could start writing another successful continuation of the story of the Bursik family.
