Manchester United fans can rejoice, Cristiano Ronaldo has already joined in training with his new teammates and his debut upon his return to Old Trafford is imminent.
According to some speculation, Cristiano Ronaldo was originally not expected to appear in Saturday’s starting line-up against Newcastle due to a mandatory quarantine. However, those speculations have been ruled out as the Portuguese has already passed the quarantine and could start from the start of the game, according to the latest reports.
It will be very interesting to see in which position Solskjaer will use the star reinforcement and what role he will play on the pitch.
Apart from Ronaldo, the Red Devils have a number of players to choose from in the attack, including new signing Jadon Sancho, offensive midfielder Bruno Fernandes, young talent Mason Greenwood, playmaker Marcus Rashford, Antony Martial and the experienced Edinson Cavani.
How will United’s attack perform? That, of course, will depend largely on the back line. Since the club didn’t bring in any new faces to the midfield in the summer, a lot will depend on the form of the existing players and how the whole squad fits together.
Solskjaer may decide to give the former Real Madrid superstar some extra time to acclimatise, but one thing is for sure. All fans will be eagerly awaiting his debut!
