The last Czech representative will enter the European Cups today. Slavia will travel to Hungary, where they will be hosted by Ferencváros. What does Jindřich Trpišovský expect from the match?

On Friday, Slavia beat Teplice and now they will play in Budapest. In the Champions League qualification, they will welcome Ferencváros to their home ground.

It is not yet clear whether Jan Kuchta, whose typology, according to coach Jindřich Trpišovský, could be a good fit for the Hungarian opponent, will take part in the match. However, the coach wants to have him available for at least part of the match.

The coach is aware of the quality of the opponent. He listed a strong offense as the main weapon, but also cohesion. The Ferencváros squad stayed together over the summer and even got stronger.

“We are well aware of Ferencváros’ qualities. Not only from the games they have played, but the facts speak for them. They are the hegemon of the Hungarian league, they won it by 20 points. They qualified for the Champions League last year and played great games. Nobody left, on the contrary, they brought in quality players. They area very strong team,” Trpišovský is clear.

“They have unpleasant players, especially on the wings. I like the striker Mmaee the most, who just joined the team. I respect him. Henry Wingo also impressed me. The question is whether Eldar Ćivić, whom we once lured to us, will play. It could be Mak or anyone else,” the coach of Slavia listed the threats of the opponent.

Trpišovský also commented on the abolition of the rule on away goals. In his opinion, this is a big change that gives a new dimension to double matches. He believes that it is better to play the return leg at home. And that is exactly what Slavia will have now. Will it play in its favour?
