Happy Slavs before the game. Rangers lost to Malmö, Vaclik hasn’t caught yet
Wednesday’s rich football programme offered nine more matches besides Sparta’s match with Monaco (0:2). In six of them the last Europa League preliminary round was played, how did Vaclik’s Olympiakos or Rangers fare?

An important match for Slavia was played in Romania. Cluj had a long lead over Young Boys Bern at home, but the Swiss champion equalised 1:1 in stoppage time. The winner of this double-header will meet Slavia in the next preliminary round, if of course the Susians advance past Ferencváros.
If Sparta can miraculously shoot out Monaco in the second leg, they will play the winner of Genk vs. Shakhtar Donetsk. The Ukrainian club is closer to the fourth round, having turned the game around in the second half with two goals (2:1).
Slavic fans also watched the Scottish Rangers match with a smile. Gerrard’s team was down 0:2 until the setup, but with a goal from the 95th minute they took a promising 1:2 result into the home rematch.
In other matches PSV beat Midtjylland 3: 0, Crvena Zvezda drew with Sheriff Tiraspol 1: 1 and Olympiakos (without Tomas Vaclik in the line-up) played Ludogorets Razgrad 1: 1.
There were also two European Conference League qualification matches. PAOK Thessaloniki unexpectedly fell to Bohemians 1:2 in Ireland and Northern Ireland’s Linfield fell to Luxembourg’s Fola Esch 1:2 at home.
In the Europa League fourth qualifying round, Helsinki played to a 2-2 draw against Neftci Baku.
