Czech football fans, watch out! Tomáš Souček and Vladimír Coufal celebrate their first trophy before the start of the new Premier League season! They won the Betway Cup with West Ham, which they earned by beating Atalanta Bergamo (2: 0). Another positive from the UK is the fact that Jablonec can theoretically play in front of 60,000 fans in the Europa League 3rd round rematch against Celtic!
Starting with the Czech players, both Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal played 63 minutes before being substituted.
West Ham’s win was decided by goals at the end of both halves. The first goal was scored by Michail Antonio in the 45th minute and the 2-0 victory was sealed in the 89th minute by Spain’s Pablo Fornals.
“The season hasn’t even started yet and we have our first trophy! It’s fantastic that we could celebrate the victory by winning the Betway Cup in front of our own fans. I believe this will give us confidence going into our first Premier League game,” commented Czech midfielder Tomáš Souček on Twitter.
His post was followed by other nice reactions to the Czech national team. One comment from a German Kladivar fan particularly stands out among all the comments.
“I love you guys. Everything has changed since you guys came. You are both tremendously different players and you have managed to raise our game significantly. Thank you. Three great signings, including Jarrod (Bowen) from the Moys (manager David Moyes’ management team).”
Jablonec in front of a full Celtic Park? Quite possibly
Stormer Petr Rada can look forward to a huge reward, which at the very least will be a pretty packed Celtic Park, a legendary stadium with a luxurious atmosphere. The announcement was made by Jablonec’s director of communications Martin Bergman on his Twitter account.
” 60,000 disappointed fans when Jablonec goes up two-nil in the 90th minute and an own goal by the home team in extra time decides the game.”
