Jake Paul will be fighting former UFC champion Tyron Woodley in just over a month. Yet he still insists on a fight with Conor McGregor, which he has been seeking for a long time. Will he get it?
On August 30th, Jake Paul will fight the former UFC welterweight champion. However, Tyron Woodley is past the prime of his career and at 39 years old, he will at the very least be fighting for the reputation and honor of MMA. Outside of the big money, of course.
But that’s not enough for Paul. The popular youtuber has long been challenging Conor McGregor, with whom he wants to organize a proper “moneyfight”.
Currently, Paul has a 3-0 record in boxing, knocking out his opponents in all three of his fights. Most recently he defeated Ben Askren, a former UFC fighter and former Bellator and ONE Championship champion.
Woodley will now be his biggest challenge, yet he is confident of a win and is looking to arrange a fight with the Irish star. And he says it’s not at all unrealistic at the moment!
“I think the fight will happen. I want that fight. There’s no better fighter than me at the moment who really wants to fight McGregor,” Paul let slip.
The teams of both fighters are said to be in contact and working out potential terms. According to Paul, making the fight happen is more realistic than ever. He is also confident that he will beat McGregor.
What’s more? He even stated that Woodley will be a tougher opponent than McGregor. In short, a great way to get the Irish fighter to react and fight.
