Will we see a fourth fight between McGregor and Poirier? We can’t end the trilogy that way, says Dana White

Conor McGregor’s bout with Dustin Poirier is over and it turned out quite unexpectedly, with Poirier winning thanks to a serious injury to the Irish fighter. However, UFC promoter Dana White is not happy with how the third mutual fight turned out and quite possibly we will see a fourth.
Dustin Poirier won his second fight against Conor McGregor when the bout ended after the first round due to an injury to the Irish fighter.
He unluckily stepped on his foot and his ankle twisted unnaturally. However, this was certainly not the end of the trilogy the organization envisioned.
That’s also why Dana White, the promoter and head of the UFC, has spoken out and indirectly announced that there could be a fourth fight.
However, that is still a long way off as McGregor has to undergo ankle surgery. However, the rivalry between the fighters remains open.
“That fight hasn’t been finished… You know what I mean. We can’t end the trilogy that way, so we’ll wait and see how things turn out now. Nobody knows how long Conor will be out,” he said at the press conference.
“We can’t address it now, how it’s even going to be. We don’t play hypothetical scenarios. Conor will have surgery tomorrow and then we’ll see how long he’s out. In the meantime, Dustin will go on his way (fighting for the title) and when Conor comes back, we’ll figure something out,” White added.
