Luke Shaw hits back at repeatedly criticising Mourinho

England and Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has finally spoken out about the criticism directed at him from his former coach Jose Mourinho. According to him, the world-famous coach should get over their bad relationship and not take any more notice of him. Shaw is preparing with the team for Tuesday’s eighth-final match against Germany.
Shaw has, as he has on many occasions in the past, been publicly criticised by his former coach Mourinho, who managed the left-back at Manchester United. Even then, he questioned his attitude and professionalism as well as his footballing mindset.
Even after his sacking as coach, his criticism has not stopped. Most recently, in England’s match against Czech Republic, he disliked the way Shaw played standard situations and described their execution as dramatically poor.
The defender, who along with his teammates is preparing for the important match against Germany, decided to comment.
“To be honest, I don’t really understand it,” Shaw told The Guardian.
“I don’t know why he keeps going on with it and has this need to point it out to me. I don’t think standard situations are as bad as he says they are,” he added.
Shaw is used to Mourinho’s criticism from their years together at United, which has greatly affected their relationship, which appears to be at an all-time low.
“It’s no secret that we didn’t get on. I think he was a great manager, but what was was. It’s time to move on. I’m trying to do that, but obviously he can’t,” Shaw concluded.
