Euro and betting: tournament ticket, almost half a million from a few crowns! How do the bookmakers and tipsters see the play-offs?

The fun begins. Euro concluded the first, shorter part of the tournament on Wednesday and will enter the knockout phase on Saturday. How do the bookmakers see the eight-final matches? What has been the best Euro ticket so far and who do the bookmakers think is the biggest favourite to win overall?

The match between Belgium and Portugal also seems to be relatively opaque. Lukaku and co. can be bet on a win at odds of around 2.5, and in the case of the team around Cristiano Ronaldo, 3.05.

However, the other matches do not lack a clear favourite. The bookmakers and bettors agree that Denmark (over Wales at odds of around 1.85), Spain (over Croatia at odds of around 1.65) and France (over Switzerland at odds of around 1.55) will easily slip into the quarter-finals.

Another much-discussed topic is who will take the crown of king of scorers. The statistics before the play-offs give the best hope to Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo, who has a two-goal lead over his pursuers. The bookmakers see him as the favourite, with the odds of 1.68.

However, the general public is already looking through different glasses and still favours Romelu Lukaku the most, with Ciro Immbol and Kylian Mbappé close behind. The Portuguese is only in fourth place, with Czech sniper Patrik Schick still behind him. It’s worth remembering, though, that these bets have been adding up since they were announced, so most of them were made before the tournament anyway.
