Nuno Espirito Santo is close to Tottenham. Will the coaching saga end?

Portuguese coach Nuno Espirito Santo is expected to be the next leading candidate for the Tottenham London coaching job. But similar reports have been circulating the football world in recent months. And there have been other interesting names.
Paulo Fonseca, Gennaro Gattuso, Julen Lopetegui or Antonio Conte. These names have appeared in the media in the last two months in connection with the coaching of the team from London.
For a while, Spurs were even reportedly trying to get back the man who took them to the Champions League final, Mauricio Pochettino. But he is likely to stay at PSG.
The negotiations with the aforementioned Gennaro Gattuso have also been interesting. The outgoing Napoli manager did not meet with the fans’ approval and therefore negotiations with him were terminated. Last week also saw the end of talks with former AS Roma coach Paulo Fonseca.
Thus, Tottenham have not had an official coach since April 19, when José Mourihno was sacked for poor results. The team is still temporarily led by 30-year-old Ryan Mason, who took over the team on April 20.
He went straight from the Championship to the Premier League and twice finished with the team in seventh place. However, in the last year, it was not the same and that is also why it was the end for Santa.
During his time at Wolves he had established a small Portuguese colony, but how would he cope with stars like Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son?
Of course, until a contract is signed, it’s not the place to address this. But at the very least, it would be an interesting acquisition for a team that has struggled in vain for trophies in recent years.
