Guélor Kanga hasn’t had a very peaceful few weeks recently. The Democratic Republic of Congo has informed him that he should not be who he claims to be.
In fact, he was supposed to be of Congolese descent and not 30 years old, but 35. Then the information came out that he had to explain how it was possible that his mother had died four years before he was born.
However, everything should now be resolved and the former Sparta Prague player can finally breathe a sigh of relief after a really long time.
According to African Insider, Kanga has been cleared of any wrongdoing and FECOFA’s complaint has been dismissed.
As a result, Gabon will participate in the AFCON, or Africa Cup of Nations, which was in jeopardy for the country because of the Kanga case.
It is still not known how the complaints in question were explained, but the case was most likely greatly helped by a statement from the footballer himself.
