LPL: JDG struggle in match of the week, struggling with LNG

The final match of Sunday and the first full week of the Chinese LPL pitted two big favourites for the title – JDG and LNG.

The anticipated series we’ve been looking forward to all week has finally arrived. The defending champions and current MSI winners, had some big challengers ahead of them. LNG, after winning the GALA, fit the role of big competitors.

The series was to crack who was currently the best. Although it is a shame that this series, came early.

After the surprising crash with Weibo Gaming, JDG had a lot to make up for. And in the first game, they made the best possible move, worthy of the champions of China. They let LNG get away with virtually nothing, and when they did, it was sporadic mistakes.

The bigger drama came in the second game. LNG were able to adapt well to their opponents and JDG were slightly unnerved.

We saw an extremely balanced game, which must be highlighted by the great performance of LNG jungler Tarzan. He was doing great things with his Viego and helped his team to repair the reputation from the first game.

The decisive third game was very tactically driven. A very duel-poor game was a definite counterpoint to what we saw in the previous game. Even though LNG led on kills, the defending champions still led on goals. In the end, a game full of tedium, ended with JDG winning, albeit with a slight aftertaste.

From JDG’s side it was a bit of a lull in the stiuation and a return to some form. However, we certainly can’t talk about the team being where it was during MSI. Let’s see if this minor shudder is a remnant of the Pomisters’ hangover or if JDG will show us more escapades.
