The end of Soucek and Coufal at West Ham? Rumours of a squad reshuffle involving the Czechs are coming out of England

England’s West Ham United are not exactly shining in the Premier League in the current season and the goal is not to fight for trophies, but to merely maintain their Premier League affiliation.
If that goal is achieved, the team is in for a rather large rebuilding of the squad. This is also due to the great interest in Declan Rice, whose departure in the summer is already quite likely.
Football Insider reports that the futures of Aaron Cresswell, Arthur Masuaku, Pablo Fornals, as well as Czech players Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal are not certain.
“Coufal, Soucek and Fornals have not done enough to build on promising starts in east London, so it may be best for all involved to find new clubs in the summer,” reported Caught Offside.
Coufal was rumoured to be leaving in the autumn, when Bayer Leverkusen, for whom Adam Hložek and Patrik Schick are playing, were interested in the Czech midfielder.
Whether the interest is still there is a question that has not yet been answered. Coufal could also be interested in England, as well as Soucek, who has not yet agreed on a new contract.
His staying at the club is more likely, precisely because of the departure of Rice. However, changes have to come and if one of the Czechs stays in the team, he might be more likely to sit on the substitutes’ bench.
