Jake Paul is no longer undefeated, he was outboxed by Tommy Fury. Paul has decided to prove himself in MMA as well, as he has joined the famous PFL. But when will we see his debut in this increasingly popular sport?
Earlier this year, Jake Paul signed a contract in the PFL, where he will feature in MMA superfights. In these, fighters will receive half of the revenue from PPV sales.
The young YouTuber has signed a multi-year deal and with it a few fights, unfortunately a closer number has not been leaked to the public yet, so we could only speculate.
Paul has had seven fights in boxing, and recently fell for the first time when he fell short on points to Tommy Fury, who he didn’t have to face much.
When can we expect to see his MMA debut? Back in January, PFL co-founder Donn Davis outlined in an interview with ESPN that we’ll have to wait a while for him.
He specifically mentioned that the earliest it will happen is early 2024, but there are some really well-known names in the pipeline that will be a real challenge for Paul.
Now the date has been brought closer by Paul himself and he was slightly more positive. “It looks like late 2023. Maybe early 2024,” he told PFL.
“Hopefully we can arrange a really big name, because I want a real challenge. People think I’m crazy, but I just want to do things differently. Plus, I’ve said from the beginning that MMA is my big goal,” he added.
