Slovakia made amends for their loss to Luxembourg, Haraslin helped them win against Bosnia with a goal

Slovakia responded to Thursday’s draw with Luxembourg by beating Bosnia and Herzegovina 2-0 at home. The first half was decided by a good first half, namely goals by Robert Mak and Lukas Haraslin.

Slovakia started actively, Dávid Hancko scored from a direct kick, but his shot went over. In the 13th minute, the home team celebrated, with the experienced Robert Mak getting behind the whitewash and hitting the area near the left post.

After that, the visitors took over the creativity, but they failed to threaten the opponent’s goal at all. On the other hand, Robert Polievka tried his luck in the 31st minute, but missed the space between the three posts. Nevertheless, the Slovaks remained calm.

Nine minutes later it was two goals later, Lukáš Haraslín of Sparta celebrated the success with a ground shot. The Slovaks went into the cabins with a surprising two-goal lead.

After the change of sides, the visitors came out actively and even with a shooting appetite, Smail Prevljak shot just in the middle of the net in the 48th minute. On the other side, Haraslin shot, this time with his right hand he did not hit the goal at all.

In the 66th minute, Ermedin Demirović burned a unique chance for Bosnia, his header was not accurate between the three posts.

Ten minutes later, Tomas Suslov had an insurance for the Slovaks, but he missed the empty net from a small area.

At the end of the match, the Slovaks were able to hold on to the second place after a 2:0 win. They have four points, two less than first-placed Portugal and one more than third-placed Bosnia and Herzegovina and Iceland.
