Sergio Ramos is still a Real Madrid legend. He spent 16 long years at the Madrid club and worked his way up to the position of team captain there. Fans there still remember his time there fondly.
His involvement with Real Madrid ended in the summer of 2021 when he left for PSG as a free agent. He became part of a series of star transfers that saw Lionel Messi, Donnarumma, Wijnaldum and Hakimi head to the Parisian club.
However, Sergio Ramos’ contract at PSG also expires this summer, so he should start thinking about his next steps. In an interview with UEFA, he even talked about his plans after his career ends.
“I’ve devoted a lot of time to football and I haven’t had as much time for my family. So when I’m finished, I’ll spend the next two years with my children and give them the experiences we couldn’t afford,” said Sergio Ramos.
Ramos has already thought about activities with his children. “I want to give them everyday experiences like skiing, holidays with my children without any restrictions or taking them to tennis. In short, a normal life,” the Spanish stopper added.
But the Spanish footballer doesn’t want to stay out of work for long. Sergio Ramos plans to combine his working life with football.
“Football has always given me the necessary passion and adrenaline. I’ve played it all my life and that’s what I do best. In the future I see myself in the position of club president, sports director or coach,” was Sergio Ramos’ specific.
It may be a bold ambition, but Sergio Ramos is likely to stay in football. Nor would he be the first former footballer to take up a managerial position or become a coach.
