Napoli breaks records even with Inter loss! Italy has never seen a title run like this before
Naples. One word that says more than a thousand words. The team from under Vesuvius is sovereignly marching through the Italian top flight in search of its first title since 1990. And there’s no other Serie A domination like it.

Football romance and poetry in Italy. Several key players who can be counted among the club’s legends left Naples in the summer. Therefore, Luciano Spalletti’s team was not much counted on in the eventual title fight.
But more than half of the season is over and the Partenopei have been ruling the whole Serie A for a few weeks now. Moreover, their lead is steadily increasing and the heart of every football lover is rejoicing. After all, the last time Naples won the title, Diego Maradona was still playing here and it was 1990.
Since then, Naples has experienced various ups and downs, but it has been waiting for a similar season for many years. And the fact is that the whole of Italy has not seen a similar ride.
Inter Milan only drew 0-0 at Sampdoria Genoa on Monday, which means only one thing. Naples is basking at the top of the table with 59 points after 22 rounds and perhaps an unassailable 15-point lead.
Napoli have lost one game so far, drawing two. But otherwise, they are absolutely sovereign. It has the best defence, the best attack, it gives joy with its football. Victor Osimhen is the top scorer with 17 goals, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia the top passer with 9 assists.
Spalletti has put together a team that is breaking records. Never before in history has there been a team leading by 15 points after 22 rounds. Until now, the record was held by Inter Milan, who led AS Roma by 11 points in the 2006/07 season.
The Partenopei are currently the most dominant team in the top 5 leagues. They can play calmly and the situation is clearly in their hands. The only thing that could perhaps still shuffle the cards are injuries or, for example, matches in the Champions League.
