The Premier League has reached its halfway point and while a number of players have struggled, led by mainstays Liverpool and Chelsea, others have instead shot up in a positive light. Who has caught the eye in the last three months?

Solly March

One of the best players in the league since the World Cup, who I see as a non-goal worker until now. But he has 4+2 in the last four rounds, his strike against Southampton in particular was entertaining. An ideal left wing-back who won’t get lost up the line.

Morgan Gibbs-White

Two assists in the last round against Leicester finally underlined his form numerically. Gibbs-White is running where Nottingham need him. Not quite a winger or an offensive midfielder, he simply runs with the ball and comes up with brilliant stuff. Especially the passing. 2+2 since the start of November.

Wilfried Gnonto

Has been starting regularly since the end of October and it shows in his performances and results. After the “Qatari pause” he hasn’t missed the starting line-up yet, he scored his first PL goal against West Ham. At nineteen years old, he is one of the best dribblers in the competition, but on the other hand, sometimes he falls too readily.

Christian Norgaard

A few names could be singled out at Brentford, but what is striking about Norgaard is the minimal media interest in him. The hard-working defensive midfielder also helps the offense, especially with his calm and accurate passing. When the team was missing him due to injury, the Bees experienced their biggest crisis.

Harrison Reed

He’s not a goal-scoring midfielder, but as a box-to-box player in a system that features leading scorer Aleksandar Mitrovic, he’s a great fit. He works his way up and down and is an important element in the pre-final stages. He can be compared to Alexis Mac Allister, but the Argentine world champion is a little more goal-scoring after all.
