The last round of the Premier League in March will be depleted of three postponed games due to the FA Cup, but there is still plenty to look forward to. Arsenal can blast away the engagement of the beloved Patrick Vieira in the London derby, Tottenham in turn can cut the Saints off from Southampton.

Arsenal vs. Crystal Palace

The Gunners have a unique opportunity to leapfrog Manchester City to an eight-point gap, as the Citizens will be playing in the FA Cup instead of the league.

And Arsenal face the ideal opponent, dismantled Crystal Palace, who have unexpectedly dropped down to the relegation battle.

Arsenal are on a roll, having won the last five rounds, and there is a good spirit in the team. Leandro Trossard has settled into the starting line-up after his transfer from Brighton, assisting all three goals in the last round against Fulham.

And if the Gunners win, they can deprive their icon Patrick Vieira of his commitment. The former Arsenal French midfielder has not won with the Seagulls for 11 rounds and has only a three-point cushion on the relegation zone.

Southampton vs. Tottenham

Saints failed to finish the seventh round against Brentford (0: 2) on Wednesday and cannot afford another loss from the last place. Although the bottom of the table is even, the lot for the last quarter of the season plays against them.

Southampton still have Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City to play, and the competition is scoring points round by round. It wasn’t an ideal performance against Brentford in the week, but otherwise the team has picked up under new coach Ruben Sélles.

And against Tottenham, they can capitalise on that. After all, Spurs have only won three of their last eight games. Moreover, the atmosphere in the cabin is not ideal, with Richarlison and coach Antonio Conte even firing at each other on social media.

Aston Villa vs. Bournemouth

Both teams have gone up in recent weeks. Aston Villa managed to break away from the group playing for salvation, and are now only seven points behind the Top 7. And with the quality of the squad, it clearly has the quality to fight for the cups.

Bournemouth has picked up mainly on the game side, but the week-old win over Liverpool is the ideal boost the team needed. The Cherries are only a score above the relegation zone and Aston Villa are not unplayable.
