In Malaga, Spain, 250 graves have been found on land owned by Barcelona star Gerard Pique. It is a plot of land that the Spanish defender bought in order to build a luxury hotel, in which he invested around 20 million dollars.

Gerard Pique is planning for the future as he feels his end is near in Barcelona. He is one of the highest paid players and has a contract until 2024, but there have been speculations that he might end earlier as he is not counted on at Barcelona.

Maybe as early as January there will be a transfer of this Spanish defender who, although he is no longer performing at his best, still has a big and successful name.

However, if there is no transfer, there is a possibility that he will end his playing career after this season and move his interests elsewhere.

His plans for the future are also linked to several projects he is funding. One of them is that he has invested around $20 million in the construction of a luxury hotel in Malaga. However, construction stopped when 250 graves were found on the land he bought.

The construction has not continued because archaeologists have started moving in to find out what era the graves date from. It is one of the largest necropolises found in Spain, although most of the graves are empty.

The graves are preserved in perfect condition, so the ongoing studies will not take much time. Construction is expected to start again in early 2023.
