The English Premier League continues in full swing with round 19. In it we will see a duel between first and third, at the same time Chelsea will challenge Manchester City. What are the biggest shots in the game and why watch them?

Brentford vs. Liverpool

Both teams look at least decent after the break, with Brentford drawing with Tottenham and beating West Ham. However, Ivan Toney was carried off on a stretcher late in the second game and the question is whether he will be ready. Coach Thomas Frank hasn’t ruled it out, but he hasn’t confirmed it either.

Liverpool triumphed over Aston Villa and Leicester, but the performance was not great. The 2-1 win over the Foxes was secured by two own goals and the Reds need to improve. If Toney is ready, it will be a battle as usual at the Community Stadium.

Arsenal vs. Newcastle

Leaders Arsenal enter the toughest phase of the season with a match against third-placed Newcastle. They have a seven-point lead at the top of the table, but the fixture schedule is relentless. On the other hand, the whole team is on the move, especially the midfield and attack.

Newcastle are playing their best football in decades, but the draw with Leeds has reduced their lead to fifth place. Both teams need to win, or the visitors could probably take a point. Either way, Wednesday night will entertain!

Chelsea vs. Manchester City

The Citizens put themselves in a critical situation with a draw against Everton. They absolutely have to beat Chelsea, and as much as the Blues don’t command too much respect this season, it’s never easy to play at Stamford Bridge.

While Arsenal can rely on four outfield players, Erling Haaland does everything for Manchester. Kevin De Bruyne is better than he was at the World Cup, but he’s still not the KDB of title seasons. And if Pep Guardiola isn’t blind, he’ll send Julian Alvarez into the starting lineup instead of Riyad Mahrez.
