Jürgen Klopp must be wringing his hands with the signing of Trent Alexander-Arnold as the unknown talent has become a mainstay of the team. Defence, attack? The English full-back is valid all over the pitch and few will take him on. But there are those who find him incredibly good too.

Alexander-Arnold is without question one of the best right backs in the world at the moment, perhaps the best ever. Apart from his great defensive work, he is perhaps even better going forward, as evidenced by his 7 assists in 12 games in a Liverpool jersey.

Getting past a player like that is of course an impossible task for most wingers in the Premier League, but there are two players that even the 23 year old full-back can sweat with!

“The best player I’ve faced was Eden Hazard. Maybe even De Bruyne, but Hazard’s speed, movement and intelligence, with and without the ball, is unreal,” revealed the Premier League’s best right-back for the 2019/20 season in an interview with Prime Video Sport.

Alexander-Arnold is currently preparing with the national team for Friday’s game against Albania and three days later England will conclude their 2022 World Cup qualification with a match against San Marino.

After that, he and the rest of the squad will return to Liverpool, who are currently four points behind leaders Chelsea in the Premier League in fourth place.

As far as the Champions League is concerned, the Reds are absolutely sovereign there, enjoying 12 points after 4 games and will challenge FC Porto in their next match. It must be added that Group B looked very difficult before the start of the millionaire competition, but Liverpool coped with their opponents with ease and confirmed their tremendous strength.
