The Italian current leader SSC Napoli, despite its current excellent performance, is not leaving anything to chance and is already looking for summer reinforcements or additions to the squad. According to the latest information, the Partenopei are looking for Adama Traoré from Wolverhampton.

Napoli are currently at the top of the Italian top flight with 47 points and a 44:14 record, holding a nine-point lead over second-placed AC Milan. Moreover, in the last league round, the Partenopei downed Juventus Torino by five goals to boost their confidence once again.

Despite their great form, however, they have not stopped being active in the transfer market and are already looking around for possible reinforcements in the summer transfer window.

According to Italy’s leading media, namely Gazzetta Dello Sport and Sportitalia, Napoli are interested in Wolverhampton Wanderers star Adama Traoré.

He will turn 27 on 25 January and his current contract with his current employer expires at the end of June. Napoli could thus acquire him as a free agent.

However, the still 26-year-old Spanish winger has not confirmed his departure from the English club, but the Partenopei have already published a preliminary offer. At least as far as his salary is concerned.

Based on this information, Traoré could earn around €2.5 million per season in Italy, plus another half a million in bonuses. Moreover, Napoli would see the native of the Spanish city of L’ Hospitalet de Llobregat as a replacement for Hirving Lozano.

The latter is in fact not part of the future plans of the current Serie A leader, who plans to sell him to avoid him leaving for free. Lozano’s current contract expires in June 2024.

Traoré has already played 176 games for Wolves, across all competitions. During that time, he has scored 13 goals and assisted on 18 others.
