Mbappé wanted four new signings for PSG in the summer. On his wish list were stars from Manchester United, Barcelona and Bayern

PSG is sovereign across all competitions so far. However, there are still voices from Paris about a failed transfer window. One wonders where else the French hegemon might want to strengthen. Kylian Mbappé was clear on that. He had four players on his wish list.

Kylian Mbappé has had a busy summer. Real Madrid were interested in signing him as a free agent. However, PSG managed to keep him in the end in all possible and impossible ways.

There was speculation that the French footballer would have powers at the club off the pitch in addition to his place on it. Reportedly, he was supposed to want Neymar to leave Paris. Instead, he wanted PSG to bring in other players.

French media outlet RMC Sport even came up with four names Mbappé wanted to work with at the French big club. And it can’t exactly be said that he was modest. In virtually all cases, it would be a very interesting transfer.

Who was on the list?

Kylian Mbappé wanted PSG to bring in Marcus Rashford, i.e. the Manchester United offspring. The English offensive player has not had a good season at all. He is doing much better in the current one.

Robert Lewandowski, who was on his way out of Bayern Munich, was also on the list. Instead of Paris, however, he went to Barcelona, where he is now scoring goal after goal.

It was from Barcelona that Mbappé also wanted a big name. Ousmane Dembélé has put in phenomenal performances under Xavi, plus he is miraculously injured less often. He could have gone to Paris as a free agent, but ended up staying at Camp Nou.

The fourth man Mbappé wanted to play with was Gianluca Scamacca, the Italian striker who shone in a Sassuolo jersey. In the summer, instead of Paris, he headed to West Ham London.

PSG has brought in six players, but is not satisfied

None of the men Kylian Mbappé wanted have arrived in Paris. However, they still managed to bring in six reinforcements. Fabian Ruiz, Renato Sanches, Carlos Soler, Vitinha, Nordi Mukiele and Hugo Ekitike arrived at the Parc des Princes.

But it is impossible to say that there is satisfaction. “We didn’t have a good transfer window. We didn’t achieve the required balance or perfection. We have undoubtedly great quality in our squad, but it is always difficult to achieve perfection,” Luis Campos expressed.
