The former offensive mainstay of Sparta Prague will play for the French Ligue 1 team. The player with seven national team starts is getting ready for another big football adventure.

Benjamin Tetteh, former Sparta Prague striker, is moving to France. There he will play for the newcomer to Ligue 1 FC Méty. The information was reported by the renowned newspaper L’Équipe.

The native of Accra, Ghana, spent probably the best years of his career at Sparta, for whom he played in 2018-2020. At the end of his engagement, he didn’t do so well, but it was still a good career.

Tetteh last played for English second division side Hull City, where he spent just one season. He made fifteen appearances in the Championship, scoring once and recording four assists.

The Métis were looking for suitable reinforcements after returning to the top flight. They left it a year ago, in 2022, and immediately managed to climb back up to Ligue 1.

Tetteh started his career with Ghanaian sides Tudu Mighty Jet and Dreams FC. In 2015, he made his way to Europe when Standard Lutych recruited him into their ranks. However, he was unable to make it big in Belgium.

In the 2016 season, he went on loan to the Czech Republic, specifically Slovácko. A year later he left Lutych permanently and settled in the Czech Republic, but was bought by Prague’s traditional club Bohemians 1905.

Then came a successful Spartan engagement. After that, in 2020, Tetteh headed to Turkey, first going on loan to Malatyaspor, who eventually acquired him on a permanent transfer.

Last summer, the still only 26-year-old striker left for Hull City. After the Czech Republic, Belgium, Turkey and England, Tetteh will now also play in France.
