Another transfer of a Czech player abroad is ready. Adam Gabriel from Hradec Kralove is transferring to Midtjylland, Denmark via Sparta.
Adam Gabriel was supposed to be the future of Sparta. But in the end he transfers abroad without playing for the A’s. In the Czech league, he has only played one game in the red jersey.
Last summer he was part of Jan Mejdra’s transfer to Sparta from Hradec Kralove and headed to the slaves. There he quickly got into the starting lineup and finished last season with a record of 2 games played, two goals and two assists.
He did quite well in this year’s season too, with 1+2 in 5 games. And his performance did not go unnoticed. The 22-year-old midfielder has attracted the interest of Danish Midtjylland.
Sparta had the right of first refusal on Gabriel, so they didn’t hesitate at all and bought the player back. However, not to their team, they did so in order to sell him to Denmark themselves.
This is what has now happened, according to the club’ s official website. “In the summer of 2022 Gabriel transferred to Hradec Kralove. A buy-back clause was part of the agreement between the two clubs. Sparta has now activated it and brought Adam Gabriel back. However, Adam will not wear the Sparta jersey again in the near future,” Sparta informs.
With Midtjylland, Gabriel will play in the Conference playoffs against Legia Poland. They are in fourth place in the Danish league after five rounds.
Gabriel is proof that it is possible to get an interesting engagement abroad, not only from Slavia or Sparta. The 22-year old back probably helped his performance in the U21 national team, where he was the number one right back.
