Arsenal London is starting to dominate the transfer market. It is releasing a young striker on loan who can make room for a much bigger name at the top of the attack.
Although Mikel Arteta has four top strikers at his disposal, none of them currently show promise in scoring goals. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is positioned outside the roster, Alexandre Lacazette fills the role of a false nine and youngsters Nketiah and Balogun remain backup options.
Arsenal continue to look for an engagement for Aubameyang, after all, meeting the Gabonese speedster’s wage demands will not be easy. The Gunners have thus decided to release 20-year-old Folarin Balogun on loan.
The young Englishman has shone especially in the youth categories, scoring two goals and one assist in ten games for Arsenal’s A-team, while he has scored 75 goals in 103 games for the U-18 and U-21 sides.
The New York native has an important step in his career ahead of him. Until the end of the current season, the Gunners reserve team star will be based at the Riverside Stadium, where second division side Middlesbrough play their matches.
This presents Arteta with the opportunity to sign an experienced and seasoned striker who would secure Arsenal’s ticket to the Champions League.
