Kylian Mbappé and Real Madrid, this saga will continue until the last day of the transfer window. PSG are still keeping their player in the ‘golden prison’, although the Frenchman has expressed his desire to leave. It’s the last day.
Kylian Mbappé’s contract at PSG expires next June. The player himself has expressed his desire to leave for Real Madrid, of which he has been a big fan since he was a kid. When he arrived in Paris in 2017, he made an honest agreement with the PSG management that when an offer came from the White Ballet, president Nasser Al-Khelaifi must act.
But promises don’t count in today’s football. The hubristic PSG management refuses to let Mbappé go, even though they know full well of Mbappé’s interest to leave. Nor are they looking at losing their gem for free next year, as the 22-year-old Frenchman has no plans to extend his contract at the Parc des Princes.
Los Blancos president Florentino Pérez sent the first official offer of 160 million euros last week. PSG rejected the offer. Real Madrid thus came up with an improved offer, which amounted to €170 million plus €10 million in bonuses. However, PSG management did not respond to this offer, breaking a promise they made to Mbappé four years ago.
However, Real Madrid are not giving up, they have until 31 August 23:59 to sign their dream signing. That leaves the last day, it will be extremely difficult to agree one of the biggest transfers in history, especially when PSG completely ignore your offers.
Renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano announced on his stream that Mbappé’s transfer on the last day will be challenging, but not impossible.
Especially when Real Madrid can rely on experienced businessman Florentino Pérez. 23. in August 2002, he announced that he had not reached an agreement with Inter Milan regarding Ronaldo Nazário, so the transfer fell through to put pressure on Inter.
However, on the last day of the transfer window, 31 August, the Brazilian phenom was already taking pictures at the Santiago Bernabéu wearing the white jersey. Could something similar happen again this year?
