The football giant from Princes Park is showing increased activity in the transfer market. In a bid to finally win the Champions League and get back to the top spot in Ligue 1, its wealthy owners are once again reaching into their pockets for a record amount, this time for a player in the defender position.
PSG’s target is Achraf Hakimi of Inter Milan. Hakimi arrived in Serie A only a year ago and immediately registered seven goals and eight assists.
Those are exclusive numbers for a player in the central defender position. Moreover, Hakimi was instrumental in Inter Milan winning the title last season.
PSG want to send £60 million to Inter Milan for the talented defender. It would then like to sign the 22-year-old Moroccan international on a five-year contract for an unspecified amount.
Although Inter Milan initially did not want to sell their defender, they will not be able to say no to the offer due to their poor financial situation.
Hakimi’s arrival will be the third major transfer for PSG this summer.
The French giant has already managed to secure the services of Liverpool’s Georginio Wijnaldum and AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
