Ethan Mbappé is following in his brother’s footsteps, and thanks to his good performances, PSG have secured him until 2024. However, all the Parisian fans are now urging the elder Kylian to do the same and stay in France.
Kylian Mbappé, who is currently with the French national team at the European Championships, has two other brothers – half-brothers Jirès Kembo Ekoko and Ethan Mbappé.
It is the latter who is following in his brother’s footsteps, having been secured by PSG for another three years. Along with him, the Parisian outfit also signed Senny Mayulu to a new contract. Both are midfielders born in 2006.
“Paris Saint-Germain is very pleased to announce the signing of two Parisian youngsters for another three seasons,” reads the club’s official statement.
However, all PSG fans are interested in whether Kylian, who is expected to change his jersey, will also sign a new contract. All the more so after journalist Daniel Riolo spoke about Mbappé’s departure.
“I know Mbappé has asked the club’s management for permission to leave, but it’s very complicated because you have to find a club that is willing to meet his high demands,” Riolo told Marca.
The 22-year-old Frenchman is under contract with PSG until next summer, making it clear that if he wants to leave, it must happen in this transfer window.
That is, at least if PSG are not willing to give up the large sum they would have collected for Mbappé at the expense of one season.
“Mbappé does not believe in Leonardo’s project. If he doesn’t leave this summer, he will leave for free next year. And in Doha they don’t want to hear about this possibility in any way,” Riolo further revealed.
