It’s gonna be a brawl! Brichta is looking forward to the Polish “Coliseum”, but a tough puncher and former title challenger awaits him. This is how KSW introduced him

Reborn? You could say that. After leaving the Octagon for the newly formed RFA organization, Leo Brichta has somewhat fallen into obscurity for the more mainstream part of combat sports fans.
He was supposed to be one of the main faces of the new brand on the market, but RFA failed to attract attention, nor did the promising Czech fighter, who at times seemed to have put his career on hold by leaving the Octagon.
But now he’s getting a big chance. He will fight in the Polish organization KSW, one of the biggest brands in the world of MMA. Originally he was supposed to fight earlier, but he will go into action on Saturday, June 3.
And it’s hard to say that he’ll get an easy bite to start with. First of all, he will appear at the tournament in the “Coliseum”, the National Stadium in Warsaw with a capacity of over 55,000 seats. In the second round, he will face a tough opponent.
Brichta will be tested by former KSW title challenger Maciej Kazieczko, who has a record of 9-2, with 6 of his fights ending by KO/TKO. With the exception of one bout, he has fought all his fights under the banner of the Polish organization.
“It means an opportunity for me. I’m happy to be part of the biggest organization in Europe and to represent the Czech Republic this internationally,” Brichta told the organization’s channels.
He is glad for the move of the match to Kolosea, even though it meant inconvenience in the form of longer preparation. However, he sees it as an honour to be on a card with a legend like Mamed Khalidov.
“I’m looking forward to the fight, it’s going to hurt us both and it’s going to be tough. I expect it to be a cut, kickboxing and tough fight. That’s what I like,” Brichta concluded.
