Another star to the party? Messi could welcome another former teammate to Miami, with the arrival of a star Brazilian from the Middle East in the cards
Florida is shaping up to be a very interesting team. Especially from the perspective of Barcelona fans. Inter Miami has already brought several former stars of the Catalan club and there is speculation about others. Will another man whom Lionel Messi knows well from his time at Camp Nou arrive in MLS from the Middle East?

Will another man whom Lionel Messi knows well from his time at Camp Nou arrive in MLS from the Middle East?
Lionel Messi was at the beginning of it all. Before he came to Inter Miami, there wasn’t much interest in the Florida club. The overseas MLS wasn’t exactly booming either, although teams there were bringing in star after star.
But bringing in the best soccer player in the world and in history? That was a fantastic move by David Beckham. The Argentine won him the first trophy in the club’s short history, it helped the club both marketing-wise and financially. Excellent work.
And to make matters worse, Messi got some interesting new teammates quite early on. Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, with whom he is very familiar from Barcelona, joined Miami. More recently, Luis Suárez, another former star of the Catalan club, joined Inter.
Apart from that, it seems that Messi may soon have another former teammate. There is speculation about the future of the star Brazilian, who had great potential but unfortunately never fulfilled it.
Will Messi have another star teammate?
Inter Miami is not having a good season. If Lionel Messi hadn’t been out of the game so often, things might have been different. But he definitely wants to perform better in MLS next season, and more importantly, get better results.
Another one of the Argentine’s former teammates and a former Barcelona star could help him do that. Sergi Roberto has also been linked with joining Inter, but currently Philippe Coutinho’s name is the most talked about.
Coutinho is currently an Aston Villa player, however he is on loan at Al-Duhail in the Middle East. Even there, he is not doing as well as he would have liked. He hasn’t played much. So Spanish tabloid AS has come out with the information that the Brazilian could be moving overseas.
Besides Inter Miami, Los Angeles Galaxy are also interested in the former Liverpool and Barcelona player. The question is where he will land. However, the relaxed atmosphere in Florida could suit him.
