The Slavs were planning to get the first points in the Champions League. They hosted St.Pölten from Austria at home, but their luck did not stay on their feet and they eventually lost to their opponents with a goal in the setup.

Slavia earned a lot of money in the group stage for women’s football. Moreover, it is a great success, which the Slavs would like to improve with a win.

They wanted to try to do that at home in Mladá Boleslav, where they have to play their Champions League home games due to the change of the pitch in Eden and the incomprehensible ban on playing at Julisca.

They were favourites against St.Pölten, although it was expected that nothing easy would await them on the pitch. Slavia was the more active team from the start, but Tereza Szewieczková only hit the bar in the 22nd minute.

Eight minutes later, Petra Divišová hit the crossbar and it was certain that the luck was not on the Slavia players this time.

At the end of the first half, goalkeeper Olivia Lukášová also showed off her skills and we went to the dressing rooms with a goalless draw. St.Pölten threatened the most after an hour of play, but they couldn’t score from a sure chance.

The game went from one side to the other, with the score still unchanged. Just when it seemed that the two teams would share the points, the Austrians stepped up.

In the first set minute, Slovakia’s Mária Mikolajeva scored and St. Pölten took all the points home. Slavia is now without a single point after three games.
